Let’s break this part down, shall we?
Let’s be really honest here. Fans left BTR a long time ago, before the end of season 04. Fans were tired of waiting for BTR to tour their neck of the woods.
It was NICKELODEON who decided that BTR the TV show had run its course. All the guys could do was just accept it and deal with it.
And now, let’s really talk about Sony. I never made it a secret in the past that Sony treated BTR horribly. Had Sony done more promotion for BTR like they did with other bands, BTR would’ve been a bigger success. However they didn’t. Sony wanted BTR to do what THEY thought was right instead of listening to where exactly BTR wanted to go in their careers and just told them what to do.
Basically there were ultimatums. Either you do as you’re told and you become our little puppets or it ends here. So can we really blame all the guys in BTR for standing by their beliefs? For sticking up for themselves? For wanting the ability to grow as people, musicians and entertainers? No. We can only applaud them for it.
Isn’t that the message BTR has always spread? Stay true to who you are? Be who you want to be?
The music business isn’t as cut and dry as everyone thinks. There’s a lot of money involved and a lot of people who think they know what music nowadays should sound like.
We should be proud of Kendall. He’s been working so hard to get his project off the ground. And he very well knows that there’s people out there who can’t wait for him to fail, who can’t wait to throw in his face, “told you you couldn’t do it” but that’s not going to happen. His hard work and determination is what’s going to get him there in the end. All Kendall ever wanted was to be a musician, make music for himself and others to enjoy.
Kendall’s playing the cards life has dealt him. What else did you want him to do? I seriously don’t understand why he’s the one getting all the heat. They’re four guys in the band.
Bottom line is, Big Time Rush is STILL a band. They didn’t leave the band on bad terms with each other. There door of possibilities is still open. If BTR wanted to make an album one day and tour the world, they still could. In the end everyone had to decide what was right for THEM personally.
So please stop sending hate to Kendall & Stacey over this. Neither are to blame. You wanna get angry at someone if you feel the need to, direct your anger to Sony and Nickelodeon. I’m not encouraging anyone to do that, let me be clear on that.
Just accept that behind BTR there were far too many people in suits that you don’t know about, far too many people who made decisions for them. Just take a step back and just think about it.
Deep down you know that what I wrote holds so much truth.
Don’t spread hate, spread love.
Couldn’t have said it better. Let me applaud you real quick. This is just perfect. 👏👏👏
